Looking for a unique break away from the norm? Tried out Camping and Glamping and fancy something slightly different, here's our solution - meet Marshala.

Tir Bach is a small quiet and family friendly camping site with limited pitches and Yurts, If your looking for a place to unwind, relax and kick off your shoes while watching the wildlife and gazing at the night sky over dancing flames of a camp fire you really won't go wrong with us!

Tried out Camping and Glamping and eager to try something slightly different but with all the relaxing benefits? Here’s our solution – meet Marshala, or Cwch Tir Bach as we affectionately call her!

Located on her own docking spot overlooking the stunning views of the areas surrounding Tir Bach Farm, Cwch Tir Bach offers you a camping experience like no other! Rescued from a state of disrepair by Roze and Ashley after being run aground off Marloes, Pembrokeshire in November 2015, she has been lovingly refitted to be a beautiful holiday home.

Measuring 36 feet long by 12 feet wide, we acquired her after she was run aground off the Pembrokeshire coast, and was perfect for our idea of a Glamping land yacht. Over the past year, we have refitted her, creating something totally different, all the fun of being on board a yacht, but without having to navigate, feel sea sick or fall overboard.

Below deck there are 2 cosy double cabins, and a children's bunk cabin, she can sleep up to 6, but most suitable for 4. The living area has seating with storage; a drop down table, TV with free view, and the wood burning stove. The kitchen area is fully equipped with, gas oven & hob, sink with mains water, fridge, microwave, and cooking utensils etc... There is a wet room with shower, basin and WC. Please note we don't supply any linen apart from the base sheets, so you need to bring your own towels, pillows, duvets or sleeping bags.

Outside Marshala there is a large grass area, where you can bring your own tent if you need extra sleeping space, the price includes up to 6. She has outside seating aboard and is docked next to a lower sitting out deck with table, chairs, BBQ and fire pit; there are Children's swings and plenty of space to run around, large hard standing parking area.

Camp, Glamp and now Yachting

Dry Dock Yachting

Benefitting from all the homely facilities on site at Cwch Tir Bach has plenty of comforts of its own to boast of. Measuring an ample 36 feet long by 12 feet wide, it was built in 1985 in France by Jeanneau. When Roze heard of its running a ground she had the amazing idea of turning her into a land yacht. All the fun of sailing without any of the dangers of falling over board – not to mention the toils of sea sickness! Spending time and care on their unique project over the past 9 months, the couple have refitted the yacht to an exceptional standard, creating that something different you’re looking for!

Just spent 2 nights there with 2 boys, 6 and 7. Little Gem of a site which the kids loved. Pitches are close to all facilities/play area/farm area/covered barn/penned animals/goose & duck area giving it a cosy and safe feeling. We walked round together at first but after that I felt they were completely safe to wander around or use play area on their own. More importantly, they felt safe. They couldn't get lost and knew where everything was straight away. Just a conversation with them not to hassle the chickens and turkey that wander around freely and I was completely at ease with them exploring

Tir Bach is probably the best campsite we have ever visited. From the glorious views to the friendly farm animals every element has been carefully thought out by the owners. The little details (like the barn with fairy lights, table tennis, pizza oven) make a real difference but the essentials are great too - good, clean showers/toilets, a place to wash up and fridges/freezers for storage. The magic lies in the atmosphere at Tir Bach with campers gathering every evening around the communal campfire to toast marshmallows and the daily visit to each tent from Terry the rare breed turkey. Magic!

We stayed for a week at Tir Bach and had a lovely time, so much so our eldest daughter (4) was really upset to go home. Good spacious pitches with a fantastic view of the Preselli Hills, a few farm animals wandering about and one of the clearest and starriest night skies make this a fabulous location especially for young families who seemed to make up the majority of campers. Being there for a week we saw them come as we saw them go and pretty much everybody was a couple with small children. The facilities were good to excellent, fridges and freezers were a huge plus and the washing up area too.

A hidden gem of a site. OK it's not right next to the coast but it is central enough to get around easily during your stay and the outlook from the site is stunning. I stayed with my two kids aged nine and ten and they had a ball. There are loads of animals on the site and the chickens and Terry the turkey do the rounds clearing up the crumbs around the tents in the mornings, much to the delight of the children. The actual tented area is well laid out on flat terraces. There is hard standing parking for each pitch with plenty of room even for the larger tents that seem to be prevalent today. I was a bit concerned about this as we have an eight man tent but there was plenty of room. The view into the valley is amazing and there is woodland below the site with two rope swings to keep the more adventurous kids entertained.

This is a great rural campsite hidden away down some tiny lanes. The owners were extremely friendly and were happy to show us their rare breeds of pigs and goats. While small, the campsite has fantastic amenities, with showers, fridge, toaster and a washing machine (should you require them) as well as detailed information on the local area. And it has a communal fire, to boot. We would definitely go back!
